CANCELLED - The beauty and efficiency of fly-casting have nothing to do with force. They come from a combination of technique and good body organization. Mastering these can be greatly facilitated by instruction that integrates Feldenkrais Method principles. In this workshop, beginners and experienced casters alike will improve their ability while experimenting with a novel way of learning through Feldenkrais pedagogy. Come and explore the missing link between traditional teaching of fly-casting and an alternate way of learning, via the Feldenkrais Method. The model of this workshop can be applied to other sports and activities of daily life.
This workshop is also open to the public.
Jean-Pierre Martin (1991) has been interested in movement for more than 35 years. He was certified as a fly-casting instructor by Joan Wulff and studied with Jason Borger of A River Runs Through It fame. Jean-Pierre writes articles for fly-fishing magazines and gives workshops and presentations during fly-fishing events.
