M3-The Evolution of Human Movement from Embryo to Aging

Presenter: Frank Wildman

Event Type: Conference 2008 Workshop

Date: July 28, 2008

Time(s):
10am-12:30pm
2:30pm-5pm

Cost: Fees

Our most personal capacities to move, feel and think are related to hidden evolutionary mechanisms.  Through exploratory movement laboratories we will discover how human motion and human awareness arose together through both persistent environmental pressures and rapidly increasing choices in sexual selection. This day long distillation is a synthesis of a program designed for Feldenkrais trainings as well as for audiences involved in the arts or sciences.  Newcomers to the Feldenkrais Method may find it an interesting introduction to the breadth and depth of the Method. This program promises to make abstract ideas a very moving experience.

This workshop is also open to the public.
