Housing On-Campus

  1. What is the cost of on-campus lodging, and how do I register for this lodging?

    Low-cost on-campus housing and meal plans available for our conference attendees and any family members traveling with them. There is a $15, non-refundable, housing processing fee. Housing and meal plans should be purchased by 6/15/2010. After 6/15/2010, we cannot guarantee availability of housing on campus. Housing and meal plans must be purchased through registration by 7/15/10. Same-day purchase of a meal card is usually available from the University, but is limited to food available. Meals purchased on site will be subject to tax and cost more and than if meals are purchased through registration prior to the conference.

    Single Room
    $89/night. One occupant. Located in Regis Hall, the rooms have one extra long twin bed. Bathrooms are private, but adjacent to the room with a hallway entrance.

    Double Room
    Roommate assigned $54/night per person. Two occupants. Located in either Regis or Simpson Hall.  Room has two extra long twin beds. One roommate of same-gender assigned by FGNA.

    Choose own roommate $108/night (pay for both roommates at once)
    Two extra long twin beds. Name of roommate must be specified at time of registration. Bathrooms are either private or shared among 2-3 rooms. The bathroom is located near the dorm room with a hallway entrance.

  2. I'm lodging on-campus, what time is check-in, and where is the lodging located?

    Check in is at Regis Hall. You may check in anytime after Noon on 7/22/10.

  3. What amenities are provided with on-campus housing?

    All campus buildings and dorms are air-conditioned and non-smoking.

    Provided: Towels, linens and pillows. 

    Lounges: Located on each floor.

    Kitchens: None, except one in Simpson Hall where some double rooms may be located.

    Consumption of Alcohol:  Unless provided at a catered event, all alcohol consumption is limited to inside the dorm rooms.

    For rent: Micro-fridges $25/day upon registration subject to availability

    Bring your own: reading lamps, fans, alarm clocks, towels for use at the Sports Center.

  4. I'm driving and lodging on-site. Where can I park, and how much will it cost?

    Parking is available in Parking Structure P1 at the corner of Sheridan and Winthrop (across from the Registration Desk in Regis Hall at a cost of $7/day. Parking passes, validated ticket or room cards may be programmed to have in and out privileges at the Parking Office. Visit the Parking Office inside the Parking Structure Parking on any day except Sunday, or pay at the parking kiosk in the parking structure. 

  5. Can you tell me more information about the dormitory bathroom facilities?

    Single dorm rooms have one bathroom, located on the same floor as the rooms. The bathrooms are single use style, with ability to be locked from the inside while in use. Although every effort will be made to house same-gender residents to share bathrooms, if opposite sex couples share a double room, the bathrooms they share will not be same-gender bathrooms. Because the bathrooms are located in the hall between dorm rooms, you may want to bring bathrobes and shower sandals.

  6. I'm bringing my laptop. Does the campus have WIFI?

    There is a wireless network around campus available to conference registrants at check in. If you need to access the network with your computer, you will need a wireless card.

Campus Information

  1. Are the resident and workshop rooms air conditioned?

    Yes. All residential, workshop and common rooms are air conditioned.

  2. Will I have to walk far between workshop rooms?

    All of the workshops are held on the campus in buildings within a 1 - 15 minute walk from Regis Hall, where the Registration Table and all of the single rooms and most of the double rooms for conference housing are located. Meals are served in Simpson Hall, which is a one minute walk from Regis Hall.

  5. I'm bringing my laptop. Does the campus have WIFI?

  1. How do I get from the airport to Loyola Lake Shore Campus, and what's the cost?

    You can get to Loyola’s Lakeshore campus from either Chicago airport using the CTA’s “L” (www.transitchicago.com), taxi, or airport shuttle. Please be aware that Loyola has three Chicago area campuses, and be sure to give your driver the Sheridan Road address.

Workshop Equipment

  1. What equipment will I need for my workshop?

    This year especially, all tables and other equipment used in the workshops will be in short supply. The majority of workshop rooms have carpeted floors. However, please consider bringing your mat or blanket. If you live close to the Loyola University campus, and have signed up for a workshop involving Functional Integration®, please consider bringing your own equipment to use in your workshop. If you have any equipment (especially tables) that you are able to loan for use at the conference, please notify the Conference Coordinator at: conference@feldenkraisguild.com
