7:30 pm - 8:30 pm ET | Speaker Series Session #1 Presenter: Larry Goldfarb Title: IT LOOKS LIKE MAGIC BUT THERE IS NO TRICK Description: Magicians don't fool people. Magicians create situations where people fool themselves. Feldenkrais teachers don't teach. We create situations where people learn for themselves. The similarity isn't happenstance. The craft of conjuring and Moshe's method are based on a profound and parallel understanding of how perceiving works. In this seminar, you'll discover what you can learn from the magician's perspective. You'll investigate topics as the nature of noticing, the use of direction and misdirection, the (entirely learnable) skill of engaging an audience, and the nature of surprise and delight. While you'll consider the theoretical aspects, the emphasis is on the practical applications: how you can become a better teacher and have more fun teaching. ![]() Feldenkrais teacher and trainer, movement scientist, multimedia author, and former professional magician, Larry Goldfarb, CFT, Ph.D., has been practicing Moshe’s method for 43 years, teaching it for 38, and training others for 28. Engaging and intellectually rigorous, Larry is simultaneously a fun, straightforward, and collegial teacher who enjoys nothing more than building confidence, fostering competence, and creating community. He is known and appreciated for his ability to make neurophysical learning understandable, relevant, and accessible. |

7:30 pm - 8:30 pm ET | Speaker Series Session #3 Presenter: Linda Tellington Jones Title: Tellington TTouch® for You and Your Animals Description: You will learn how one magnificent sentence uttered by Moshe Feldenkrais inspired the development of the Tellington Equine Awareness Method of training animals that has spread around the world. Hear how one book recommended by Moshe lead Linda on a life-long path exploring our connection to cellular intelligence, the key to Tellington TTouch®. You will learn the basic one-and-a-quarter TTouch Circle and the “Magic Three TTouches”; These simple techniques support and inspire during these unprecedented times of global recalibration. This is a logic-based method for practitioners and their clients that can be applied for self-care to enhance well-being and reduce physical and emotional stress. You will also learn some basic TTouch for your animals, to effect mental, emotional and physical healing that can lead to a magical relationship with your dog, cat or horse. ![]() The Tellington Method® was inspired by Linda’s four-year study with Dr Moshe Feldenkrais at the Humanistic Psychology Institute. The Method utilizes a variety of techniques of touch, movement and body language to affect behavior, performance, health and relationship, and to increase an animal’s ability to learn in a painless and anxiety-free environment. Linda’s highly effective and revolutionary approach to working with animals brought her worldwide recognition, and it was out of this success that Tellington TTouch® for human healthcare has arisen, emerging as an important addition to the world of alternative healing practices. She has received international recognition for her work including, in 2019, the Sri Chinmoy Peace Run Torch-Bearer Award honoring remarkable people who have inspired others through their own lives and deeds. She received this award because of her lifelong devotion to the development of a heart-based method that nurtures a unique, peaceful connection between animals and people. |
