Feats (feet) don't fail me now....

Our feet support and connect us to this earth as well as propel us through space. Our feet are closely linked to our hip joints, spine and head – and everything in between. Imbalance in the feet throws our entire body off balance, while imbalances in the spine or neck challenge our feet to maintain a precarious balance.  In this workshop, we will explore our own and others’ feet through Awareness Through Movement® lessons and Functional Integration® lessons, focusing on the use of feet as it relates to skeletal alignment, support, weight-shifting, walking, relaxing under pressure and the transmission of movement. This hands-on exploration will bring a deepening of our ability to make distinctions about the use of the feet and what is optimal movement.

A certified Feldenkrais® Practitioner and Assistant Trainer, Kathy James studied with Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais in the early 1980’s. She teaches in several accredited Professional Feldenkrais Training Programs and leads workshops throughout the US. She holds a fourth degree black belt in Aikido and trained as a professional dancer for many years.
