The importance of FEELING Safe – and how to help build that foundation

FEELING safe, and THINKING you are safe, can be two very different things!  The former is in the whole biology.  The latter is cerebral.  Ease can only happen when our biology is on board and feeling safe.  Felt safety (or the lack of it) has a physiological basis. Our nervous systems pay close attention to it.  Through discussion and  experiential learning with ATM® and FI® lessons,explore the cool and intriguing science about what “Felt Safety” is, why it matters for learning, and how we as Feldenkrais® practitioners can help our participants experience and build this key foundation – so that ease can emerge.

As a Feldenkrais® Practitioner and Tellington TTouch® Practitioner, Violet is fascinated with how to open up movement freedom, and how to help get stuck stuff, unstuck. She enjoys combining science with practical experience and the "feel" of doing, to explore how the
Feldenkrais Method® of somatic education works the magic it does.
