Jump Forever Rhymes with Young Forever

The sixth direction of a movement is UP. When moving up from the standing position we define it as a jump, skip, hop, bounce, leap or spring… there are multiple terms for this movement, but many of us, as we become older, stop using them. Why do we stop jumping? We become anxious and lack appreciation for such unique physical movements. Studies show that benefits for stability, balance and action can be acquired by any jumping activity. Using the principles of the Feldenkrais Method® of somatic education, I will share my experiences to help you re-learn the skill of jumping, improve your confidence and increase your sense of stability, improve bone density and body lightness in action.
