I am the President and Clinical Director of Physical Therapy and Feldenkrais® NYC, a Hospital for Special Surgery Rehabilitation Network member. I am also a co-founder and president of the Feldenkrais Foundation and the co-founder of the Feldenkrais Institute of New York. As a former New York Pain Treatment Program supervisor at Lenox Hill Hospital, I worked with Dr. Hans Kraus, a noted pioneer of sports medicine, physical medicine, rehabilitation, and trigger-point therapy. I am the Hospital for Special Surgery Rehabilitation Hip Preservation Certified Therapist. I conduct continuing education courses explicitly designed to “bridge” the complementary worlds of Physical Therapy and the Feldenkrais Method® and have published articles in medical journals.
For over 30 years, I worked with clients who suffered from debilitating issues, such as pain, orthopedic injuries, neurological problems, and chronic diseases.
I have been a competitive athlete most of my life. My passion is the sport of fencing.
I have mentored Feldenkrais practitioners, physical therapists, and exercise and movement specialists since 2005. I love to share knowledge with my colleagues and practitioners, no matter their years of experience, from new grads to seasoned practitioners. There is nothing more practical than a solid scientific theory. A clear understanding of human anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics makes us Feldenkrais practitioners more potent. I have always been inspired by Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais’s ability to convert abstract into the concrete. I aspire to teach and explain the material simply.
